The Follicare hair loss treatment system was developed in 1996 by Dr. Chris Catalfo for his own personal use. Dr. Catalfo started to experience the effects of thinning hair in 1984. He tried every hair loss product available to stop his own hair loss and promote hair growth. Not having success with any of these available hair regrowth preparations (including minoxidil by itself), he personally started researching and experimenting with different combinations of ingredients he believed could promote new hair growth. Since the original formula was developed, Follicare has gone through several generations of enhancements leading to the present Follicare Hair Growth and Restoration System for Men.
